  • The inner city or District V. gives home to many of the architectural and natural beauties of the Pest side with Secessionism and Eclecticism characterising the District architecturally, and the Danube spicing up its cityscape. All the above mentioned make the District the best area to stay for those wanting it all in their very own "back yard".

Our first two of the Top 10 Hotels in District V are the Kempinsky Hotel Corvinus; one of the great deluxe hotels of the city often hosting heads of state and international celebrities and the classy Le Merridien Budapest both located on the central Elizabeth Square. There's no getting more central than this.

In third place is the Budapest Marriot Hotel; a classy hotel along the River with balconies belonging to each room that boast with a beautiful view of the Danube and Castle Hill.

The Roosevelt Square at the foot of the Chain bridge gives home to three more hotels, our next three picks: the Four Seasons Hotel; a fairy tale accommodation in a palace-like Secessionist building, the Sofitel Atrium; an eight storey hotel with spacious modern rooms and good view, and the InterContinental Budapest; a five star hotel overlooking the Danube and Castle Hill with typical socialist exterior.

Our seventh pick is the K&K Hotel Opera, a popular and classy choice behind the Opera House a few minuet's walk from the Basilica.

The Alta Moda Fashion Hotel in eighth place is a brand new four star hotel inside a Neo-Renaissance building not far from the Parliament, with comfy rooms and a relaxing spa making it perfect for business travel as well as family holidays.

The last two picks are both near Váci Street: the delightful Taverna Hotel and the brand name Mellow Mood Central Hostel popular with backpackers.
