Located on a small side street off of Váci utca, the pedestrian shopping street, this hotel is just 2 short blocks from the Great Market. It is a great location. Having opened in 2006, this small boutique hotel is the first of four planned by this company. The decor is a beautifully executed mix of eclectic styles with Murano glass light coverings to Thai designs for the carpeting and drapery, created by Hungarian craftsman. The standard rooms seem small at 18sq. m (194 sq. ft.), since most of them sport a queen-size bed, a rarity in less than a five-star hotel, but roomy enough to be comfortable. Superior rooms are 23sq. m (248 sq. ft.) giving more room to spread out. The furniture style is Asian modern with a soft pink and chocolate brown theme, while the bathrooms are tiled in browns and beiges, with showers only. Each corridor has only five rooms for an intimate feeling with designated smoking and nonsmoking floors. Excellent staff would add to a stay here.
