- Belonging to a chain of upmarket Indian restaurants, the Bombay Palace offers delicious spicy cuisine. The interior is adorned with several chandeliers. There is a host of waiters who all crowd around your table in a rather intimidating manner. Dishes are brought on a trolley and then served with a flourish. It is a popular venue for business lunches. The dishes are good but nothing out of the ordinary and the portions are rather small. The spices are used a little too sparingly - maybe in order not to upset sensitive palates - but the chicken cooked in a traditional Tandoori oven is good and the vegetable dishes are always reliable. Expect high quality wines and attentive service.
