When a restaurant can have six satisfied patrons at one table, it's a sign they're doing something right. We highly recommend the lobster cream soup with spinach gnocchi and asparagus. Chicken breast on eggplant with goat cheese was moistened by the Dijon-saffron mustard dressing. The lasagna also received rave reviews as did every other dish. The cafe's six separate locations are decorated differently, giving a unique touch to each, though the menus are similar. The restaurant at the basilica has most unusual lighting; large candelabras of metal with reflector lights shining on them to make yet larger shadows on the deep green walls and ceiling. Lighting was sufficient, yet warm and romantic at the same time. High-back carved wooden chairs added a touch of charm to the overall surroundings. With excellent service from a very attentive waiter, the evening was an excellent way to spend time with friends.
