- A host of colorful events mark the Aquincum Festival, which is held every year from spring to summer. The festival celebrates the glorious past of Aquincum city. With a history that dates back to over 1900 years, Aquincum had been one of the major cities in the Roman Empire. Thus, to commemorate the anniversary of the city, the Aquincum Museum, the Municipality of Budapest and the Local Government of Óbuda—Békásmegyer organize this festival.
