    • Budapest's Zoo and Botanic Garden is located in the City Park, behind the Museum of Fine Arts and the Széchenyi Bath. It is one of the oldest zoo parks of Europe, a unique architectural and applied art masterpiece. You can see a wide spectrum of animals and plants from all over the World. The Zoo always can give you something new. The wonderfully renovated old house and the modern ones give you a wonderful cultural experience and the touch of the nature. The best architects and artists were working on the animal houses. You can see eosine covered animal sculptures by the Zsolnay Porcelain Manufactory, colorful mosaics and wonderful wood houses by the architect Károly Koós in Transsylvanian Hungarian style. The Budapest Zoo is a perfect escape from the city's concrete jungle and it is just a few stops from Deák tér or Octogon with the first underground of the continental Europe (M1 to Hősök tere or Széchenyi Fürdő)
