One of a new generation of “shabby-chic” places in the Jewish Quarter, this one is better than most. Great atmosphere - worth a peek!
Description:
Kuplung, the clutch, is housed in a former car repair hall, though you'd never be able to tell. It serves as an art workshop for theaters, movies, and many other performances. Come nightfall it converts into one of the most crowded underground bars in town. The warehouse-like space is fully utilized as a concert hall, an exhibition area, and a beautiful bar where, despite the live DJs, you will feel like you are in an enclosed market. Don't be disappointed when you find a normal house at number 46. Simply enter through the black door and be amazed by the scenery!

Could easily be nicknamed the Woodstock of Budapest, with a vibrant urban festival atmosphere every summer night! This is the place to go to meet locals and have a few relaxed drinks in the heart of the city.
Description:
Located right in the middle of the city, Gödör (Pothole) was built in/under a park, where the main bus station used to be and was until an election and change of administration. This versatile space is sometimes an art gallery and sometimes a music lounge or outdoor movie theater. Outside of the summer months, events seem to be sporadic. You are bound to be at Deák, so you may want to check it out to see if there is anything going on. The park is a popular hangout for skateboarders in the evening and other alterative-lifestyle youth. Prices depend on the event.

Guests can choose between the roof-top terrace, beer garden and main bar inside, where a good selection of wine, beer and cocktails are served. The laid-back European atmosphere makes it ideal for a pre-party drink, or two.

A contemporary "ruin bar" along the Zichy jenő Street, infamous for its abundance in pubs and bars.

Lángos is just so typically Hungarian it has to be tried. Plus, the place has good location, great opening hours and even better lángos. Definitely a must-eat!
Description:
Lángos, a Frisbee-sized savoury dough deep fried in oil, topped with soured cream, garlic and grated cheese is a popular fast food in Budapest, nicknamed the "Hungarian Hamburger" during the Communist Era. The Lángos Bár, a completely insignificant looking little place right next to the Bar Instant makes exceptionally good ones by any standard, and also has long opening hours making it the perfect place to pop in after long nights out.

Big enough to be labelled a nightclub yet still homely enough to have a table reserved for the regulars! With a karaoke bar, happy hours for cocktails between 7 and 9 plus music that gets you up and dancing, Morrison’s guarantees a good night out.
Description:
Located on a side street near the Opera, Morrison's is still a cool place to hang out after all these years. The first room is a pub with a long bar counter containing a red, British-style phone box (the bar's trademark) as well as other bits and pieces including Thomas the Tank Engine memorabilia. The bartenders are friendly and the drinks are sold at moderate prices. The next room has a few tables (in case you don't like hanging around the bar) and it leads to the dance floor, which could be bigger, considering how packed it can get. Alternatively, you could sit in the chill-out room, which contains nine TV sets stacked on top of each other. The regularly have DJ and live performances by artistes, the schedules for which can be found on the website.

Corvinteto is an open air underground bar and club located on the Corvin Departmental store on Blaha Lujza square. There is lots of cold beer, cushioned sofas and a dance floor that invites you to put on your dancing shoes. The largest and most beautiful bath house of the city - no visit to Budapest is complete without a visit to Széchényi!
Description:
Though not the oldest thermal bath in the city, it is definitely the most beautiful! The pale yellow Neo Classicist building of the Széchényi Thermal Bath houses the largest spa of the city and of central Europe, though this will not be apparent from its exterior.
Once inside, an endless number of pools seem to unfold in a palace-like interior. Indoor and outdoor pools are filled with thermal water of varying temperatures and mineral content, all fed by two of the 123 thermal springs under Budapest. A swimming pool for those after some exercise, a wave pool for the kids, saunas and steam rooms plus a massage salon and a physiotherapy department can all be found in the complex.
Széchényi awaits guests with long opening hours between 6 am and 10 pm, so whether it'd be after a long day of sightseeing or a long night out, this is the place to relax!
