Description:

  • Take a breather from the splashy concept bars and froufrou cocktails around town and kick back at Guevara, a narrow little rock-n-roll dive just steps from San Telmo's heart, Plaza Dorrego. Guevara draws in a motley crew of local hippies, hipsters, travelers, and students, all who drift in for cheap draft beer, blasting '80s tunes, and the inevitable elbow-rubbing that results from the lack of space. Bouncers have gotten increasingly more strict about capacity regulations and tend to allow access only on a one-out, one-in basis after about 2am. Either show up earlier or pick up a couple of beers around the corner to make your sidewalk wait a little bit less tedious. - Elizabeth Gleeson
