Description:

  • There is a small corner of the city where you can find art everywhere, a magical spot about which J.L. Borges wrote many poems, inspired by the atmosphere that could be felt then and today. This corner is a barrio named Palermo Viejo. People reading, writing, or just thinking their own thoughts are a part of the landscape. Malasartes is just one of these special places. It is an old shed that has been turned into a coffee shop. The sidewalk outside is made of old paving stones and there are tables set outside beneath some trees. The facade has the aspect of a turn-of-the-century store. It also has an art gallery.
