Jardín Zoológico

    • It's a great place to take the children on a sunny day, any day of the week. Weekdays is better for not being as crowded as in the weekends. The aquarium is 'the'' attraction for kids since there's a sea lions live show. Several species can be seen here like penguins, sea and river fishes, beautiful tropical fishes and even sharks from the Argentine Sea. The reptile House is a Must -see spot. Native argentine snakes as well as boas,anacondas,tree-snakes, turtles (the giant ones!) alligators, crocodiles (the babies are soooooo cute!!!!!!) The Rain Forest place recreates the temperature and vegetation of this particular zone at the old bear house. Even a cascade's sound takes you mentally into the middle of the jungle. Don't be afraid of the BIG spiders! they 're in a glass box. There's a lot to see inside this big park, so I won't ruin the surprise by telling you everything! Go see for yourself! The Zoo is located in Plaza Italia,Palermo, you can get there by bus, subway, taxi, or train. There are several different types of tickets depending on if you want to see the whole Zoo or just some areas in particular. Go early because the close the doors at 6 pm. An extra attraction? outside the zoo there are many old carriages with horses that take you for a ride around the Palermo woods area. Even though I hate to see animals cage d or outside their natural environment, these animals here are well taken care of and fed, oh! that reminds me! You are allowed to feed animals but ONLY WITH THE SPECIAL FOOD SOLD INSIDE THE ZOO. Some ugly people give animals cookies or leftovers, please don't do it and call a guard if you see somebody doing this. Enjoy your visit to the Zoo! http://www.zoobuenosaires.com.ar/
