  • Cabo San Lucas is known for its boisterous nightlife, and has bars that appeal to virtually every demographic. However, if you really want to cut loose and have fun, or party hearty well into the night while dancing, drinking, and enjoying great live music or exceedingly festive atmosphere, there are a few places that stand head and shoulders above the competition.

    El Squid Roe has long been the signature club in San Lucas. Whether it is their Saturday theme parties, their outgoing staff, or the great music every night, this is the premier party like a rock star venue in the downtown area. Baja Junkie, our number two pick, isn't far behind. With great deejays and a hip if populist atmosphere, they give El Squid a run for their money in after midnight madness.

    Happy Ending starts going earlier than most of the other clubs on this list, primarily because their incredible prices are perfect for the happy hour crowd. Whether it is pool, beer pong, or tequila shots, this is a good place to start the evening. Cabo Wabo, on the other hand, is another good place to finish an evening. With great live music, including periodic appearances by the Red Rocker himself, this is a mandatory stop for any fun-seeking visitor to Los Cabos.

    If you want to party on the beach, you can't do better than The Office on Medano Beach, particulary on Thursdays when they host a Gran Fiesta Mexicana with everything from folk dancing to waiters' shows. Rips is home to the famous rainbow shots, and with their very affordable pricing they get great crowds both day and night. The Giggling Marlin is an old-school Cabo party spot, and although they no longer get the crowds they did in years past, it is still a great place to hang out with friends, or be hung upside down by your heels.

    If you love pub style atmosphere, try Pub de la Chapu, the only Irish-style pub in town. They offer over a hundred beers from twenty-five countries around the world, and a full menu of martini choices. Like most of the local bars, the later in the evening you arrive, the better the atmosphere. Ladies night is on Thursday, and is a good time for the single crowd. This is also true at another marina hot spot, Nowhere Bar, where ladies night on Tuesdays draws huge local crowds.
