Feel like staying in Cabo San Lucas for awhile? Many long-time residents came down on vacation and never left. Live like a local while you're here, particularly if you want to spend a significant amount of time in the area. Most apartment complexes downtown are in fact condominium complexes that rent out available units by the month, or have absentee owners that like to do the same when they are out of the area. The best of the new breed of apartment/condo complexes is Plaza Nautica. Located on the marina, central to downtown, these excellent units are well-decorated, spacious, and have great terraces, as well as communal amenities like a pool, jacuzzi, fitness facility, and palapa bar. La Roca Vista is one of the go-to sites for singles, since these studio apartments are small but comfortable, and air conditioning them during the summer months won't break your budget. They also have a nice pool and manicured garden featuring some of the local cacti. Marina Sol is another popular spot for residents. Like Plaza Nautica, is it right off the marina boardwalk, and has excellent amenities for renters and owners.
