The restaurant scene is always shifting in Los Cabos, with new restaurants appearing, and others gaining in popularity due to upgrades of menu changes. Alcaravea Gourmet has become the hottest restaurant in town recently, rising from a parking lot food stand a few short years ago to a fine dining fixture in the downtown area. DOC Wine Bar is also rising fast in the local establishment, offering Italian dishes as well as a shifting but always excellent array of wines by the glass and bottle. Baja Peppers is the new on-site restaurant at the historic downtown hotel Mar de Cortez, and has become an extremely popular stop for value oriented yet high quality breakfasts. They offer the best eggs benedict in town, and also are becoming increasingly popular as a lunch and dinner stop. Senor Sweets has been known for many years for their cakes and homemade ice creams, but their bistro garden restaurant now offers one of the finest dining experiences on the marina, and their Golden Zone location is hard to beat. Sushimanias has been around for several years now, but continues to grow in stature due to their excellent sushi and prime town square location. Nick-San, at the Plaza de la Danza, is another local sushi favorite. The Ridge Bistro is one of the toughest tickets in town, but offers rich rewards for anyone able to get a table.
