Cabo San Lucas can be as quiet, romantic and relaxing as any secret hideaway, with plenty of intimate activities to keep the fire burning. At the southernmost tip of the Baja peninsula stands Land's End, one of Cabo's most famous landmarks. This area is comprised of a large cluster of rock formations that were carved into fantastic shapes by wind and sea. During low tide, many visitors like to walk here along Playa del Amante (Lover's Beach) because it allows for a better view of an eroded passageway called the Arch of Poseidon. You can also observe Los Frailes, two rock islets that are frequented by sea lions.
Check out Kaleidoscope Cruises. This company offers many cruises -- one of them is an adults-only cruise. Take the sunset booze cruise, where drinks are on the house. First, the boat heads out toward the arch at Land's End for an up-close and personal view, then traverses the waters to the east to gain a view of the sun setting across the city. It departs the marina daily and the cruises fill up quickly so call ahead or arrive early. Options are also available for diving, snorkeling or whale watching, too.
La Candelaria is definitely a must-see. The old village of Candelaria is in the mountains 25 miles north of Cabo. It remains a center for the ancient practices of witchcraft, and is known for the abundance of exotic palms, bamboo and mango trees here. Both trips, up and back, are magnificent because of the different views. Cabo is an unbelievable romantic getaway spot, the kind lovers often dream of. But Cabo is no dream. It's real, and it's waiting for you.
