Restaurants in Los Cabos are constantly in flux in terms of popularity, and menu changes are often indicated to keep pace with the competition. The following restaurants have all been recently updated by NileGuide to reflect the latest in fine dining and neighborhood comfort foods. Alcaravea has grown from a parking lot stand to the finest restaurant in town in the space of a few short years. With a menu rich in Italian and Mediterranean favorites, and a staff thoroughly indoctrinated in old world service, this downtown favorite has lines out the door on a nightly basis. Chabelita is located at the Cabo Mar seafood market, and is well off the beaten track. However, it is definitely worth a visit from travelers who enjoy local fare. The traditional Mexican menu is very affordable at Chabelita, with their incredible Pozole Verde the most expensive thing on the menu at 3.50 USD. Jerry's Pizza is also off the beaten track, and is open at odd hours since Jerry makes pizzas for all the local schoolchildren on weekdays. Mariscos Mazatlan is another favorite of locals, and is renowned for their fresh seafood dishes. Salvatore's is located in the courtyard at Siesta Suites, and is also a locals favorite, although the Italian cuisine tends more towards fine dining than Chabelita or Mariscos Mazatlan.
