  This landmark Pedregal hotel is built into a rock cliff, and was the brainchild of Luis Coppola Sr., in partnership with Don Luis Bulnes of Solmar fame, among others. Newer, more deluxe resorts can be found, but Finisterra offers old-school San Lucas charm with spectacular views of Bahia San Lucas and the Pacific Ocean, with seven acres of private white sand beach. It opened in 1970, when San Lucas was still primarily known as a fishing village. Most rooms have Marina or Ocean views, and one-bedroom (345 USD) and two-bedroom (750 USD) suites are available, with rates spiking between Christmas and New Year's Day. Food and drinks are available at the on-site Blue Marlin Restaurant, the Whale Watcher Bar, as well as the Palapa Beach Club Bar & Grill poolside. Amenities include gift shop, car rental, baby sitting, exercise equipment, sauna, and massage. Cooking, bartending, and Spanish classes are also available.
