  This is the best barbecue place in town, and is hugely popular among locals. So many police come in here for food the place often looks as if it is being raided. It has been around for decades, and used to be located on the site presently occupied by Baja Junkie. The menu has ample offerings, but Pollo de Oro is known for their chicken and pork ribs. A half order of pork ribs is 55 pesos (between 4 and 5 USD), and includes macaroni salad and brown rice. The full order is 90 pesos (8.50 USD), and requires a commitment to finish. These ribs are to die for, and the fried chicken tacos are excellent as well. Order a side of papas fritas (french fries) and a couple of Pacificos to wash it all down. They have a full bar, and the service is quick and efficient. This is not fine-dining, but there is no better comfort food in San Lucas, and the high-powered fans keep you from working up a sweat with your order of ribs.
