NileGuide Expert tip:
Your best bet at par is at the 19th hole.
The spectacular Jack Nicklaus designed Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol is currently ranked in the top 100 golf courses in the world, as well as being ranked the best course in all of Mexico. The course is first class in every respect, and has seven holes along the Sea of Cortez, making this sort of the Mexican version of Pebble Beach (Nicklaus' own favorite course). The fees are only marginally cheaper than Pebble Beach. Fees are 355 USD from 7am to 11am, 275 USD from 11am to 1pm, and 205 USD for twilight. Alas, there is no super twilight. Equipment rentals are available for 65 USD (45 USD twilight), and are quality Taylor Made clubs. Golf attire is required. The Ocean Course plays long, and is long from the tips (7075 yards). High handicappers should play the appropriate tees if they want any chance of breaking 100. For low handicappers, the course record is 62. Good luck!
