• With all the huge luxury cataramans plying the waters of Bahia San Lucas, dance music blaring as guests attack the margarita bar, the small sailing boats in the Cabo Sails fleet feel almost quaint. But for those who are less impressed with flash than substance, and who actually appreciate the art of sailing, these boats offer excellent value and a great way to experience the local waters. There are four boats in the fleet - a 28' Alvin Vega, 28' Pearson, 33' Hunter, and 44' Coronado - accommodating between six and twenty passengers. The tours are of the same variety offered by all the boats here - whale watching (seasonal), snorkeling (near Pelican Rock), and sunset cruises - but in every way that matters, Cabo Sails offers something is that rather unique in contemporary Cabo San Lucas: the sense of peace and well-being that comes from being on a small sailboat with brisk winds and congenial company.
