A pretty little beach a short drive outside of San Lucas. This is a popular beach with the locals so it can get busy on a Sunday. This beach is swimmable.

    Description:

Come early for this prime snorkeling location. Playa Santa Maria is well-known as one of the best beaches near Cabo for underwater wildlife; its curved north wall shelters a reef where tropical fish live and eat. Most of the tour operators offering snorkeling tours will be bringing tourists to this beach and typically arrive around 10a. Beat the crowds (and the blanket and jewelry sellers) and have the beach to yourself by arriving earlier.

    Our Local Expert Says:

Although Lover's beach is beautiful due to it's rock formations it is a bit of a difficult trip due to the fact that you can only get here by boat and disembarking from the panga can be difficult especially for children or older visitors. Make sure you make a note of who which boat you came on and what time you told him to return for you. Otherwise they may charge you again for the return trip.

    Description:

Frequently pictured in brochures of Cabo, this is the beach next to the famous rock arch formation, Arch of Poseidon, at Land's End. Water taxis wait for your signal to deliver you to this famous beach. Just a rock wall (and a matter of yards) from the Pacific Ocean, this area is sheltered from the pounding waves. Named for its romantic and semi-remote area, it's rarely unpopulated enough to feel particularly romantic. Snorkelers tend to prefer the viewing at the eastern end of the beach.

Best dive tours in Los Cabos.

    Description:

An experienced dive operation with over 30 years in San Lucas, Amigos del Mar offers dive and snorkel tours, as well as various certifications. Perhaps the best thing about Amigos is the diversity of dive sites available for tour. These include Anegada, The Point (off Land's End), La Larga, The Blowhole, Twin Dolphins Reef, Chileno Reef, Barco Varado, as well as more remote sites like Gordo Banks, and Cabo Pulmo. They will also help book you aboard the 112' dive ship Solmar V, which will take you 200 miles to the Socorro Islands for a once in a lifetime opportunity. This is an amazing selection, and they have the custom dive boats to get you there. Tours start at about 75 USD, with instruction courses beginning at about 100 USD, and equipment and camera rentals available. Dive packages are regularly advertised. This is the original SCUBA source in town, and still the best.

Best San Jose del Cabo Zip-line Adventure.

    Description:

Canopy Costa Azul offers one of the most exciting adventures in Los Cabos, with zip-line tours that include rappelling, a tarzan swing, a rickety suspension bridge, and a tequila factory tour and tasting. Soar above cliffs and canyons at over 300 feet in the air, approaching speeds up to 50 mph using only cables, pullies, and lines. The lines stretch for over seven miles, and provide an exhilarating (and occasionally terrifying) experience for novices. But the guides here are first-rate, all certified professionals, and the commitment to safety helps allay any lingering fears on the part of guests. The instructors are also on-hand for the rappel descent, although this part of the tour may be skipped by those who have no desire to climb down a rope on a virtually sheer mountain wall.
