NileGuide Expert tip:

Show up at least an hour early to find a table where you can sit down and enjoy the show—there's not a lot of standing room.

Description:

Spaniards and tourists, young people and adults, families and groups of friends all come together to enjoy one of Andalucía's most well-known traditions at this popular flamenco club. As you enter, you'll find a busy bar on the left serving inexpensive drinks and snacks, like montaditos (tiny sandwiches). The auditorium is a large, open room with with wooden tables and chairs that provide seating room for a few hundred people. When the show starts, the noisy crowd quiets down, turning their eyes to the stage and clapping along, shouting "Ole!" as the dancing and singing becomes more and more intense. Each night features a new flamenco group, and shows are usually free, starting around 9:30-11:00pm. Check website for events, which include chirigotas (musical groups) from January-March for Carnaval. Located just a few blocks from the Cathedral.
