Directly across the sea-fronting boulevard from one of the best and most crowded beaches in Andalusia, this hotel (ca. 1993) competes directly with the also-recommended Playa Victoria, which is less than 2 blocks away. A large, nine-story hotel with a highly desirable four-star rating from the local authorities, it lacks the dramatic and innovative design of Playa Victoria. Nonetheless, it's extremely comfortable (albeit conservative and just a bit staid), well equipped and maintained, and centrally located in the heart of the bar, beach, and nightlife action of new Cádiz. Expect scads of families with children in summer, an ongoing round of conventioneers traipsing in and out, and a winning collection, facing the beach, of bars and cafes that cater to guests and nonguests alike.
Many rooms have windows that face the sea (but alas, no balconies). There's no swimming pool here, something we find surprising for a hotel of this size and rating, but the beach is a few steps away. The dining facilities feature children's menus.
