Hey pam .. Zamalek is a nice place .. U can go for coffee shop in zamalek .. There is a nice one called goal .. And if u wanna go 2 a bar there is one called amici .. If u need help or something let me know .. I can show u around zamalek :)

Zamalek is just A small island,,,so, just walk around and you will find places yourself......go with wind and for sure your eyes will catch a nice place to set , drink,,,and eat .

I believe the Sawy culture wheel is the best recomendation but that depend on ur time there Sawy culture wheel only works 6 pm daily, I think there is a museum there in the morning but cant remember the name u can google it ( museum in zamalek)

it depends on your stay there, do you have part of your day at night or morning....what kind of things you usually like to do. Zamalek is full of cafes, restaurants and bars "thats it" of course they are so nice and elegant.

Hi Pam, I spend a lot of time in Cairo (single female) - there are nice places to eat in Zamalek - Abu El Sid is excellent for dinner, theres a brilliant pizza place called Maison Thomas, take a walk around the fish garden which is near the nile - Umm Kolthum is i think what the road is called. have fun

You can go to Goal Cafe and drink something and smoke shisha , maybe you can take a felucca from there as well in the Nile

Hi Pam,
Zamalek is one of the finest neighborhoods in Egypt. However small, you can go to the Gezira Tower and have a nice view of whole Cairo. You can try one of Floating restaurants esp. Al-Saraya, Pacha, Imperial, etc. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops are also situated in Zamalek, I would personally recommend Le Caire 1930 situated in 17 Hassan Sabry St, where you can enjoy Egyptian meals.

Hello Pam, In Zamalek, you can enjoy shopping & also have a great lunch time in Le Pacha Boat, Also if you like Pizza a l'Italien, you will enjoy Surely the Pizza of Alain le Notre, great taste with a lot of add on :)
From Zamalek, you can go to Egyptian Museum, just take a taxi and do not pay more then 15LE. but try to go in the early morning so you can enjoy your tour.
at night, it depend on your mood, go to Imperial boat, you can have a good intertainment night in Perpel Lounge Bar or just have your dinner with light music & oldies songs on the deck.

Zzmalek is one of the most classy areas in Cairo, & thus there are as many as classy places you can go to, there are so many pubs, clubs like :
Purple, Le Bacha boat, & many others..

if you like to have a look at a cultural place, then I totally recommend going to "Sawy Cultural Wheel at el Zamalek" it's very nice place on Nile, where there are cultural events like everyday.

your also so near from down town where there are so many places you can visit like "Tahrir Square" the place where the Egyptian revolution started and took place, and there are so many local coffe shops where tourists usually go and sit on it, its very cheap as well..

for tourism places u might visit EL Gezira tower in daylight,they have a wonderful view of most of cairo from up there if u r lucky and there is no dust to have a clear visual.and also u could visit the grand old tree it's so close from the Opera and El gezira tower,and in the evening u could attend a concert at El Sawy culture wheel,the place is beside the nile river and they have a concert everyday,or having a relaxing dinner on board of one of nile carousers.if u r interested in bars or bistros so u can enjoy ur evening at five bells bar,they have a marvelous decoration and high value drinks .in Zamalek u can find a very cool disco tech called Bora Bora.these r all varieties i know about Zamalek.wish a lovely time for u there.

Hi Pam, why don't you go to Cairo Tower, its just a short walk or taxi ride, There are gardens and cafes, and if you don't mind heights, take the lift to the top of the tower for the most amazing panoramic views over the whole city,and on a clear day you can even see the pyramids at Giza. The restaurant there is quite nice, a little over priced, but what do you expect with the view. Enjoy ....

Zamalek is a small island in Cairo full of hotels, embassies and sophisticated restaurants... The best to do in a half day is to go walking by the Marriott hotel on the corniche(by the Nile)from one side, and on the parallel side of the hotel is the guezirah club, also a nice walk... If I were you I would go for a coffee or a quick snack on one of the floating boats on the Nile, like "Le Pasha""The Blue Nile" "The Nile City"

Look,
Walking at night in Zamalek is the best thing ever to be done at night.
so try to walk your way there,
& you can visit Sequoya restaurant & bar to have the best view of the Nile.
