Hi Flo - certainly the most popular areas, and the places you will find the most small apartments are Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada. Both are quite well-developed and cater mostly for tourists. It is likely that your purchase would be in a resort type complex. Both are quite a road distance from Cairo but short fights. Sharm is closer to Europe than Hurghada. You really can get quite a good idea from the many web sites devoted to real estate in Egypt such as http://www.e-dar.com/ or http://www.sharmelsheikhrealestate.com/ or http://www.hurghadainternationalproperties.com/ but ultimately you will probably need to visit to see for yourself :-)

I would recommend you some where near from Cairo , like Porto El Sokhna resort.

Near from Cairo 90 minutes driving easly and all facilities are avalaible.
