- This is the tipical emergency place to know. Costing only 4 to 5 dollars the night, it is perfect for backpackers, and there is no much alternative anyway in the city of Chachapoyas, the first to be founded on the rainforest by spanish conquerors. The address is Chincha Alta 391 on the city of Chachapoyas, the phone number is 041-478074. It is not a 'nice' place but it is a honest one, this is how small hotels looked throughout peru before the late posh international tendencies refurbished most and opened new ones.
