Barfly (The)

Description:

• In sharp contrast to the more traditional pubs that sit on either side of it, the Barfly serves up a mean margarita in a modern, stark black and white environment. The high ceiling and green and purple camouflage-painted walls only serve to accent the distortion of reality that is the Fly. The hip restaurant/bar is popular with the 25-plus corporate crowd eager to burn off their workday frustrations, and is usually packed after 8p every night. Friday nights are particularly crazy, and it is almost impossible to squeeze your way through the doors after 6p. For daytime diners, the signature dishes are the stir fry and the sautéed prawns, served hot and spicy.
