- This Famous Players cinema complex, located in the northwest section of the city, is brand new to Calgary. The complex is equipped with 16 big screens to view the latest and the greatest movies. Be prepared to pay CAD11 to see a movie, though. Silver City seats close to 4,000 people and each of the cinemas has floor-to-ceiling screens. Two party rooms can be booked in advance for children's parties. Pizza Hut, Wetzel's Pretzels, and Baskin Robbins Ice Cream, among others, make up the concession menu.
