Top 10:

Southwest - Calgary Hotels

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • Most of south Calgary's hotels run along McLeod Trail, which is in between the SW and the SE. The SW is Calgary's most affluent area, but it is mostly residential. Therefore, there's not a lot of points of interest in the SW, other than Heritage Park and Spruce Meadows. It also allows for an easy escape to the south part of the province, such as Waterton Lakes National Park.

Delta Calgary South is one of the nicest hotels that you'll find south of downtown Calgary. This 3-star hotel has two buildings that are connected by a plus-15. On the east side of the road, each room has a patio onto an indoor courtyard, which has a pool with a waterslide and many banquet rooms. The other side of the street is a more traditional hotel. This hotel is close to the South Centre Shopping Mall.

The Bed & Breakfast Inn in Wildwood is conveniently located to downtown, but it is also easy to get out of town from Wildwood. This community is on the top of the ridge that overlooks the Bow River valley, and you can get one of the best views of the city from the nearby Edworthy Park.
