• It is rare that a coffee shop sells only its own baked goods, all made from scratch. This inviting restaurant is one of those anomalies. Primal Grounds practices what it preaches by using organic ingredients and no additives or preservatives in any of its food. Offering finger-food appetizers, lunches (including their famous turkey and cranberry sandwich), Mexican, African and Italian dinners, as well as a generously stocked bakery, they have something for almost any palate. The cafe is decorated in a rustic style, with lots of earth tones and wooden chairs and tables. If dining with a large group, there are platters of appetizers, breakfast combos and fruit with cheese that serve up to ten people at once. There is even a drive-through window for those on the go. The coffee is fresh-ground Arabian stock and can be ordered by the cup or carafe. Prices are a little higher than standard cafes, but the quality of service and food make it worthwhile.
