Description:

The Calgary Zoo cares for a large selection of animals and provides habitats as close to nature as zoos can get. The Zoo has several 'destinations', such as Africa, Eurasia, South America, Australia, and the Canadian Wild, which all house animals from there respective part of the world; there is also a Botanical Garden with a tropical butterfly exhibit and a famous Prehistoric Park. If you bring your cell phone with you, you'll be able to find all sorts of pre-recorded animal information simply by dialing the information found on small signs throughout the park. Every December the Zoo hosts Zoolights, which is the largest seasonal light show in Western Canada consisting of over 3 million Christmas lights.
