Description:
- In 1929, a prominent Calgarian, William Pearce, donated 15 hectares of land to the city as a wetland. It is in Inglewood, now, at the spot where the Bow River bends south. Combined with the provincial overseen Bow Habitat Station, the park is 21 hectares and contains a series of interpretive trails, natural vegetation and animals. It is a park in a process of "re-naturalization", after having been used by the Pearce family for agriculture early in the 20th century. This area is home to the Fish Hatchery, as well.
