Hi Cindy,

Directions are difficult to give since I am unsure where you are coming from. However, Patina park is off of Sarcee Trail in the southwest quadrant of the city. Sarcee Trail is best accessed by Highway 16 E/W if you're coming from the north or via Glenmore Trail from the south.

There are a couple of options for hotels as Hwy 16 will take you past "Motel Village" in the university area as well as past a number of budget motels on the Bowness part of town. I am not likely to recommend the bowness area even though it is closer to Patina park. My best suggestion would be the Four Points Sheraton West as it is quite close to the Hwy 16 junction with Sarcee trail. The nearest casino is the Grey Eagle Casino if you head south on Sarcee trail, it turns into Glenmore trail and in less than a Kilometer, the casino is on the right side of the road. They don't have a hotel though.

Please feel free to ask more questions or give me more info about where you are coming from and where you would like to stay and I'll be happy to answer them.

Safe travels and welcome to Calgary!
Heidi
