Description:
Calgary has a lot to offer in terms of fun, educational activities for kids and parents. This trip includes 3 venues for kids, each one of which could easily use up a whole day of energy for little legs. If you don't have that much time, pick and choose what sounds most appealing.
Day Note:
Stop by Booster Juice in the morning for a healthy and energizing fruit smoothie. You'll need the energy to take on the zoo. It's good if you can visit the zoo on a weekday instead of a weekend, as it will be a little less busy and harder to lose curious little explorers in the crowds. Get a map on the way into the zoo and determine a route where you'll get to see all the attractions that appeal to you, because there's a lot and you don't want to get too tired...read more

This deli is famous for its thick and delicious Italian-style sandwiches and meats. It gets busy at lunch hour, but it's always worth the wait.
Description:
Spolumbo's has been serving its signature spicy sausages in local restaurants for years, but only recently opened up its warehouse-style diner in Inglewood. Considered by many critics to be the best sausage maker in Calgary, it serves its soups, sandwiches and hot meals in a cafeteria-type setting with large glass display cases and heat lamps. There are about 30 tables inside the dining room, which is spacious and decorated with the old football jerseys of the Spolumbo sons. The food is inexpensive.
