Day 1 - Calgary

Begin the day with breakfast and browsing through Eau Claire market. If the weather is nice‚ walk around outside the market by the picturesque Elbow river and feed the geese. Next, walk a couple blocks east to Chinatown, where you can browse through the many Asian shops and malls, and have tea. Stop into the Silver Dragon for authentic Asian lunch, or find a dim sum restaurant to experience. After your lunch, walk the few blocks south to the downtown shopping mall. Inside, visit the Devonian Gardens - sit and relax. Next, get onto Stephen Ave., where you'll find even more Calgary shopping, art galleries and people-watching. Stop into Earls, in Bankers Hall, for a drink in the lounge and then a delicious meal. If you still have energy, walk to the Uptown theatre for an alternative movie.
