Day 2 - Calgary

In the downtown core, there are several places you can walk through for free, and at your leisure. These include Stephen Ave., the Devonian Gardens and Art Central Calgary, where you can explore the more creative vibe of the city (without having to buy anything!). All three of these venues are in the same area downtown, and are also surrounded by several restaurants with windows where you can spend your daily budget on one glass of wine and watch the people go by outside.

Day 3 - Calgary

Same budget, different venue. Today you’ll head to 17th Avenue, which is not far from downtown, but features the funkier side of the city as opposed to corporate downtown. And 17th Avenue is another great street to walk around, explore the diverse shops, restaurants and pubs, window shop and observe. The Ship and Anchor is a lively pub along this street that still offers cheap, quality food and a spot on the busy patio, if you’re lucky, to watch people go by. Or, the Purple Perk on 4th St. is another venue where you can get healthy food at coffee shop prices and a spot to sit outside, or by the window.
