- To hear the roar of an engine and feel the thrill of high speed races, visit this speedway located 25 miles (40.2 kilometers) north of Napa. The half-mile dirt racetrack is a low-banked, oval course and the only one of its kind in Northern California. In addition to other events, the track hosts sprint car racing eight nights a year: the first Saturday in May, two nights during the Napa County Fair, two nights during Memorial Day weekend, and two nights during Labor Day weekend.
