- This is an hour+ drive from SF, but the Mud baths are very relaxing! The mud baths have a deep heating effect and the clear water bath afterwards is envigorating...you will emerge cleansed and totally relaxed. It is located in the Napa Valley wine region near San Francisco. Afterwards enjoy a great dinner and some fantasctic California wines in either nearby Calistoga .or down the road in Napa.
