Description:

  • A tribute to Harriet Tubman, a former slave and conductor in the underground railroad, this small museum has exhibits on Tubman, her efforts to free slaves, and local African-American culture. It also offers tours of places in Dorchester County where Tubman lived, prayed, and worked. Only a few of the actual buildings still exist, but guides use the locations to tell stories about her life.
