A former First Nations residential school, St. Eugene is also a testament to the accomplishments of the local Ktunaxa (pronounced T-nahkah) First Nations, whose heritage and culture are reflected in its architectural transformation. Guests can learn about the Ktunaxa's history at the onsite interpretive centre, and browse the many photographs throughout the building.
Rooms are well appointed and spacious. Amenities at the resort include a seasonal 18-hole golf course, an outdoor pool, hot tubs, steam room, a fitness gym and a casino. Dining facilities include fine dining in its Purcell Grill and casual meals and drinks in the Fisher Peak Lounge, both of which offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains and countryside.
