All Seasons Cafe - Canadian Rockies

  • Description:

    • The All Seasons is reason enough to visit Nelson. Located in a handsome heritage home a block off busy Baker Street, it isn't easy to find, but if you want to eat at British Columbia's best restaurant east of Vancouver, then persevere. Menus, which change seasonally, feature local produce and meats. To start, try the outstanding ginger-lime tiger prawns with wasabi aioli and pea shoot salad, or go for the Dungeness crab and potato latkes with fresh salsa. Main courses include a number of vegetarian and fish options, such as cornmeal-crusted Silverking tofu with sweet yam tart, balsamic butter, and broccolini. Smoked bacon-wrapped B.C. salmon with horseradish mashed potatoes, aurora garden chard, and caviar cream, and seared duck breast with caramelized acorn squash are also outstanding. The wine list has many Okanagan Valley selections, and the service is friendly and professional.
