Top 10:

Cheap Cancun Hotels

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • If you are on a tight budget, or just want to spend less in order to make your trip last longer, you'll find clean, inexpensive hotels in Cancun. BelleVue Beach Paradise is located at the southern end of Cancun's hotel zone, on the Caribbean Sea, but most of the budget hotels aren't on the Caribbean side of Cancun's hotel zone. Even if it's not overlooking the gorgeous Caribbean Sea, you can still find a decent hotel at a low price that is near the action, has a great view, and the typical white-sand beaches that the area is known for.

The majority of Cancun's less expensive hotels, like Holiday Inn Arenas, Imperial Las Perlas, and Dos Playas, are located on the Bay of Mujeres and are a bit closer to downtown Cancun than they are to the shops, malls, and nightclubs in the hotel zone. Don't let that discourage you, if you are trying to plan a vacation at a bargain price. City buses travel throughout the hotel zone all the time and are super-cheap (around .70 cents per person, for each ride). If you want to go shopping or hit a nightclub, just hop on the bus and you'll arrive at your destination in minutes.

Hotels in downtown Cancun, known as "El Centro", is also another option for travelers on a tight budget. There are many small, inexpensive hotels downtown and most are within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars, and the bus route. Of course, there are no beaches in the downtown area, but the closest beach, Playa Las Perlas, is just a couple of miles away.

There are also many hostels in downtown Cancun, which are very popular with younger travelers.
