  • If you have ever traveled to Mexico, you know that the food being served in Mexican restaurants in the U.S. is nothing like what you find in Mexican restaurants IN Mexico. While in Cancun, there are plenty of great places to experience real Mexican food.

Paloma Bonita and La Habichuela are both fining dining establishments that serve incredibly delicious, Mexican cuisine. These two restaurants are also very nice locales for a romantic evening, or for celebrating a special occasion.

For a more relaxed, laid-back vibe, La Panza es Primero and Perico's shouldn't be missed. Both have good food but they prove that you don't have to get dressed up and go to a stuffy restaurant to have a tasty meal.

Hacienda Sisal and La Parrilla regularly have mariachi bands perform. You can have a nice meal while taking in a bit of the Mexican culture.

If you'd like to try food from different regions of Mexico, check out Labna, which serves traditional Yucatecan cuisine, or Calenda Oaxaca, which serves the types of food you would typically find in the state of Oaxaca.
