Thai and Elefanta, two of Cancun's top restaurants, are located in Plaza La Isla Shopping Center, as are La Madonna, Italianni's, Chili's, Hooters, and the restaurant inside the Interactive Aquarium.
Thai serves Thai food, as the name implies, while Elefanta has Indian cuisine. La Madonna is a groovy little restaurant with killer martinis. La Madonna is located near the front of Plaza La Isla so there is always a lot of foot traffic. It's a great spot for people watching.
Chili's and Italianni's are located on the canal that runs through the shopping plaza. Diners may opt to dine indoors or outside, on the waterfront terraces.
Hooters, the restaurant known for its chicken wings and scantily clad waitresses, has a prime location right on the lagoon, which makes it a nice place to watch the sunset.
The restaurant at the Interactive Aquarium overlooks the pool where the dolphins are trained so diners can watch dolphins jump and play while enjoying a meal.
La Destileria is a Mexican restaurant with a tequila distillery theme located a few blocks from Plaza La Isla.
The restaurant is on the lagoon so it's also a lovely spot for watching the sunset. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Cenacolo are both located in Plaza Kukulkan, which is less than a mile from Plaza La Isla.
