NileGuide Expert Says:
Arguably Cancun's best and most luxurious hotel. There are several outstanding restaurants on the property that should not be missed.
NileGuide Expert tip:
Contact the hotel prior to your stay to reserve your spot in one of the many cooking classes, tequila tastings, or Mexican wine tastings offered at the hotel's Culinary Center. The hotel's spa is small so it's a good idea to schedule spa treatments prior to your arrival, as well.
Description:
- This luxurious resort with top-notch service, beautiful decor, and several AAA 5-Diamond awards may surprise you. When many people think of the Ritz-Carlton hotel chain, they think "stuffy", or that the hotel may be filled with retirees. They'd all be wrong. The Ritz-Carlton Cancun guests are around 40-45 years old and, while elegantly decorated, the hotel is far from "stuffy".
The hotel has 365 rooms, all with a view of the crystal-clear, turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. There are also 7 restaurants, including Casitas, a steakhouse on the beach, and the award-winning Fantino and Club Grill. The hotel also has a full-service spa, a fitness center, a private beach club, and a Culinary Center. In the Culinary Center, guests can take cooking classes, do tequila tastings or Mexican wine tastings, or take part in the hotel's new Dine With the Chef program, which is an exclusive, gourmet meal with Chef Rory Dunaway. Only 12 people can participate in the Dine With the Chef program, each night.
If you wish to leave the private paradise that you'll find at the Ritz-Carlton Cancun, you'll find that La Isla Mall, Kukulkan Mall, and countless restaurants, bars, and nightclubs are only a short drive from the resort.
