- Mocambo is lovely, open-air restaurant, in Cancun's hotel zone, that overlooks the Bay of Mujeres. This seafood restaurant is on Blvd. Kukulkan, but it's positioned in such a way that it can barely be seen from the street. You have to search for the place a little, but it's worth the effort since this is one the few restaurants in Cancun that is located on the beach. (Well, Cancun has plenty of restaurants on the beach, but most of them are inside all-inclusive hotels and are not open to the public.)
Inside the palapa-covered building, you will find soft lighting and gorgeous views of the bay and of the island of Isla Mujeres.
The service at Mocambo is good and the food is tasty. The menu is filled with delicious seafood dishes, but there are several options on the menu for people that don't care for seafood. There is often a buffet, as well.
Prices are quite reasonable, with the average entree price being around $150 Pesos.
