Description:

• Learn how to prepare authentic Mexican dishes with Chef Claudia, who started cooking Mexican food when she was just a little girl. She began taking cooking classes as a teenager and then went on to graduate from culinary school. For more than 15 years, Chef Claudia has been teaching cooking classes.  Today, she teaches from a small school, in her home. Classes normally have between six to twelve participants, but arrangements can be made for private classes are for groups of more than twelve people. Classes are approximately five hours, but only about 3 1/2 hours of that is the actual instruction time. The rest of the time, you have lunch with your fellow classmates and enjoy the fruits of your labor...the meal that was prepared during your class. In addition to teaching students how to prepare food, Chef Claudia also teaches about Mexican culture and explains how Mexican cuisine differs from region to region.  There are currently six different menus being taught in the classes and they each focus on a different region of Mexico. Many of the recipes used in the classes are actually Chef Claudia's family recipes that have been handed down to her.
