Reef, Jungle and Nightlife Sampler
|

|
A weekend hardly seem like enough, but you can make it count by taking in a couple of nearby destinations such as Isla Mujeres and Puerto Morelos. Check out the party scene, go snorkeling and explore the jungle.
Day Note
You don´t have much time, so make it count. After spending the day at the beach head to the CocoBongo to experience Cancun´s world famous party scene.
This club is by the far the most famous club in South America. MTV, Playboy and several other magazines have rated it among the top ten clubs in the world. Once you walk into this club, you will realize why it is so highly rated. Expect to see flying acrobats, live bands, bar top congo lines, gigantic wide screens, soap bubbles, and an amazing sound system. Once you step on the dance floor, the Salsa and Latin beats will transport you to a different dimension!
Hidden in a serene area of Cancún's coast is this lovely hotel. Designed as a beautiful Mediterranean style mansion, it is a place where guests can stay in comfortable suites, and it offers the enjoyment of the natural attractions of the Caribbean Sea and other luxuries specific to this resort. From the rooms you can revel in views of beautiful landscapes or choose to have dinner at the hotel's restaurant, with a wonderful view of Cancún's glorious white beaches.

Day Note
The whole Cancun hotel zone looks like what you´ve seen so far. So catch a ferry to Isla Mujeres for something a bit different. Its no longer the sleepy fishing village, but its still much more laid back than Cancun. Be sure to snorkel a bit at Garrafon. Catch the last ferry back and check out another of Cancun´s best clubs.
Protected since 1999, the area includes areas of land and sea. The most outstanding features above the surface of the water are the cliffs, which form a beautiful landscape. In the sea, the main attraction is the shallow reef, perfect to co-exist with marine life and dive or snorkel in a safe way, even for children.Located on Isla Mujeres, about 20 minutes by ferry from several points in the Cancún resort area. Various packages available, all includehire lifejackets, use of hammocks, binoculars, lockers and showers. Do not forget your swimsuit and snorkel gear.
If you still enjoy a night out, but have outgrown the "hot bod" and "wet t-shirt" contest scene, this may be the place for you. Though part of the Dady'O & Dady Rock compound, it is a bit more sophisticated, and just as fun.
The island of Isla Mujeres is practically an obligatory trip for tourists to Cancún. Just 20 minutes away by ferry, this heavenly island awaits you, offering a host of activities and entertainment along its mile-long stretch of extensive white, sandy beaches, craft shops and jewelers, specialty restaurants, tropical music bars, the reef for diving, swimming with dolphins and an endless number of activities. Ask at your hotel reception for departure timetables. Travel agents might be able to arrange a good package including meals and drinks. You can easily find island accommodation if you like.

Isla Contoy, one of the beauties of nature, has been preserved as an ecological reserve. It is surrounded by mangroves, where the flora and fauna are zealously protected by the Mexican authorities. An expedition to this island is a must for nature lovers or adventurous spirits. Enjoy the waters in a small boat, watching wildlife in its natural habitat. You will be surrounded by monkeys, birds, small mammals and fish. Ask for expedition timetables and prices at your hotel reception or from a travel agent.
