Eating out in Cape Cod can certainly be one of the highlights of your vacation; but the restaurants of Cape Cod are not just about flavors and scents, they serve up loads of fun, too. The fine dining and entertainment experience at the Roadhouse Cafe is lauded by local magazines like Cape Cod Life for being the best on the Cape. There are several dining rooms, a lounge, and a piano bar, all tastefully decorated with hardwood floors and oriental rugs. Menu items include pastas, baked lobster, oysters Rockefeller and veal Madeira. On Friday and Saturday nights, the cafe comes alive with great entertainers at the vintage piano bar. Monday night is the very popular jazz night in the Back Door Bistro, where you may enjoy lighter fare or the full menu.
Check out Tugboats Fine Food and Grog. This establishment has two large bars and lounges and three dining areas. Watch the Nantucket ferries come and go as you try the lobster roll, the rich and creamy clam chowder or abundant sandwiches. Tugboat's is a great refuge, even on rainy days. A popular nightspot, head for the tiny upstairs bar where folks at the bar swill tropical drinks to music with a Caribbean beat.
Montano's Restaurant offers Italian fare and fresh local seafood. Choices range from prime rib to lobster, chicken parmigiana to asparagus ravioli. The staff is personable and attentive. The diverse clientele can enjoy a weekend lounge act that combines singing with a very sharp comedic tongue. Though the wait for a table can be up to an hour during summer, it is generally worthwhile. Visit these fun Cape Cod restaurants, but just remember to cover your mouth when you laugh.
