Description:
By far the most scenic of the youth hostels on the Cape, this Hopperesque house on a lonely bluff a short stroll from Ballston Beach was once a Coast Guard station; these days, it winters as an environmental-studies center. During the summer, it's a magnet for hikers, cyclists, and surfers.
