• Rozenhof remains the oldest, and arguably the best restaurant on Kloof Street. Warm and inviting with friendly service, Rozenhof is among the most reliable restaurants in the region. Situated in a beautiful and robust historic Cape house, the decor is homely, with chunky and well polished old kitchen tables standing firmly on gleaming Oregon pine floors, offset by milky-coffee walls which are peppered with art for sale. There is a small menu of tasty food. Several classics include the cheese souffle, the crisp roast duck with fig and marsala sauce, and herb-crusted beef with cabernet sauce. There are good vegetarian options and absolutely to-die-for desserts. The wine list is small, but there is plenty available by the glass.
